Zhengzhou Mix City was the first high profile reserve store in the city. It was a relocation asset from an existing location. Located in the CBD and one of the top commercial properties it was important to deliver both a strong coffee experience as well as several branded moments to celebrate both Starbucks heritage and coffee education for a tier 3 city.
For the reserve bar we had a lot of real estate to explore a more grand experience and celebrate craft. To play homage to roastery a low budget re-creation of the automated ticker used to display coffee was integrated into the reserve wall display. Working with our art vendor a carrying case together with an assortment of block letters were provided to allow our barista’s to update the coffee collection as new coffee is released.
