Shanghai fashion boutique

 

In 2011 I was approached by Shanghai based fashion boutique Maozhan to create there HQ office and design center. The office would support an in house design, sales, HR and finance teams. In addition the client wanted a flexible retail space that could be used to showcase clothing and future cross collaborations. A new logo and business cards were also

The client returned several years later to create another office space in another part of Shanghai. To save money they wanted to reuse existing office furniture in the new space and conserve elements as much as possible.

Maozhan Logo Design

In collaboration with a graphic designer the logo and name card designs were also created for the boutique.

Capturing unused and recycled buttons from Maozhan’s clothing factory we created a mural that represents colors of yarn.

Concept for the 2nd office uses a large zig zag wall to provide function and privacy

between the design studio and adjacent showroom space.

The new office space was much smaller then the original but still including the same amount of designers and support staff. The result was a more intimate design that created functional usage in the large zig zag wall that both separates and stitches the office spaces together.
